Interior Design

Mission Statement

To enhance the function and aesthetic quality of interior spaces at the University of South Alabama and USA Health while considering the health, safety and welfare of students, faculty, staff and visitors to the campus and hospitals.

What We Do

The Office of Interior Design advances the University Campus and USA Health Systems mission by coordinating academic, healthcare and administrative needs with physical space. Our team of designers are the primary consultants for all new and renovated interior environments on campus and within the health system. We are responsible for collaborating with faculty, staff, design professionals, and vendors to create aesthetic and functional spaces while still upholding the Universities Design Standards.

Selection Considerations

All new interior renovations or modifications must be reviewed by the Office of Interior Design. In most circumstances, the Office of Interior Design will place the order and oversee the delivery and installation of finishes and furniture on the user’s behalf. The selection of furniture and finish items is evaluated and carefully chosen based on the principles found in the policy below
